Debbie Ellis

I am very excited to be returning to the V.B.C.P. with my teaching partner Miss Kristina! I look forward to meeting all of you and working with your children throughout the school year. I have been in this profession for some time, but it never ceases to amaze me the new and exciting things that each group of students brings. I am very fortunate to have the privilege of getting to know and love each of your children every year.

I completed my ECE diploma at Durham College in 1995 and have been in the childcare field ever since! My husband, daughter (also a graduate of the VBCP!) and I live in the North Whitby area and we love the family atmosphere of this community. I have worked with children of various age groups over the course of my career, eventually becoming an ECE Supervisor, then moving on to the VBCP where I have the opportunity to fulfill both roles that I love, functioning as a teacher andsupervisor. The greatest pleasure and responsibility of this profession is to help foster the growth of young children, while they are the most impressionable. The VBCP offers a unique structure as the families are so involved in this process. It is a wonderful organization that truly reflects the family atmosphere of the community it operates in.

I have taken great pride in witnessing the growth and development of my students and could not ask for a more rewarding career! Miss Kristina and Ihave some exciting activities planned for this school year and we are trulylooking forward to making this year a memorable, positive experience for both you and your child.

Hello to all our VBCP families and friends! I am super excited to meet all of you in September. My name is Miss Kristina and I am a registered Early Childhood Educator. I graduated from George Brown College in 1995 and have had quite a bit of experience working with children between the ages of 2-5 years. In fact, this is my favourite age group!!

I have quite a history with our "little school in the village". My children Cassie (8yrs) and Nathan (6yrs) both attended the VBCP and it was love at first sight for my entire family. As President on the Board of Directors in my final year with the school, I had the opportunity to work closely with Miss Debbie and I am thrilled to be reunited with her.

The cooperative experience is a unique opportunity to learn and grow with your child during their pre-kindergarten years. As a past parent, I can say the memories that I shared with my children during their time at the school will always hold a special place in my heart.

I look forward to a year full of laughter, learning and, of course, a whole lot of singing!!!
